How to Help

Fundraising Events

How can you help to fund raise to help the Native Women's Centre?

You can host a fundraising event to support Native Women's Centre. Native Women's Centre receives various funding to operate programs and services. However, our entire operating costs are not fully covered, therefore we need to rely on fundraising, donations and the generosity of members of the community.
Third Party Fundraising events can come in various shapes, avenues and sizes big or small; all fundraising helps us out tremendously.

We have listed some fundraising examples from the past as well as offer other ideas. Please contact to inquire about your idea.

Below we have listed some past fundraising events from our local community:

  • Proceeds from a brunch or luncheon in celebration of women, children or of your choice;
  • A university or college student group fundraiser event;
  • Ride toward equity;
  • A casual dress down day at the office;
  • A school dance, movie night engaging secondary school and/or elementary school students, staff and their families;
  • Silent auction;
  • An auction of items held online;
  • A walkathon, or marathon;
  • A sports event or tournament (such as golf, bowling, hockey, summer beach volleyball)
  • Cut out the violence with hair cutting proceeds.
  • Golf Tournament
  • Gala event
